I’m not much of a shopper when I’m traveling, but in Amsterdam we had to buy some coffee filters for the apartment we were in, and stumbled on an old fashioned coffee & tea shop. It dates back to 1858.

We went back the day we left to buy some coffee. I got a Yirgacheffe from Ethiopia. I’ve never tried it before, but do get Sidamo from the supermarket quite often. It seemed like a good idea - Ethiopia is where coffee originated of course, as did homo sapiens.

It’s delicious. About €7 for 250g (it's not a supermarket).

The day was relaxing but uneventful. Farm shop in the morning. Work in the afternoon (a Powerpoint presentation for a meeting on Wednesday). Cooked in the late afternoon.

The weather is just plain nasty. Wet and windy. Again...
