An Avid Lensman

Temple Meads Station...

To my mind, Bristol's main railway station is one of the most attractive, this morning glistening and glorious in its rather sumptuous blue floodlighting.

Yes, I was standing in the way of taxis, but this rather free-for-all seems to be Bristol's way and by and large, everybody sort of seems to get by OK.

The taxi moving in the photo that I just had to quickly move out of the way of is included to add interest and to add the feel that this is a very busy station. The red brake-lights were a huge bonus too.

Handholding the fast Sigma 20mm f1.8 at 1/10th second, it was a fine balance between holding off camera shake and sufficient depth of field to get those lovely damp cobbles in focus and to keep the iso as low as possible too.

Rain set to flood in, heavy at that, and so am glad to get this up now.

Hope the weather doesn't spoil your day too much! - and catch you all later.
