Charming Les Girls

There was a truly inspirational masterclass for the Whitburn junior band this evening.

Tuba virtuoso Les Neish gave a talk and workshop on basic playing skills and musicality, then gave a short demonstration of some trick playing, which wow-ed the children and experienced brass players of the Whitburn Band alike.

Then there was a particularly good concert by the Juniors, followed in the second half by the full senior band.

(Exchange Communications Whitburn band are one of the very top brass bands in the country. I was drafted-in to fill a holiday gap on euphonium. Great fun and excellent concert, thank you!)
