A big bug hotel

This morning's walk was cancelled due to the continuous rain and wind. It's not often that the group misses a walk as we all love the exercise, scenery and company so there was a bit of a gap in my Monday mornin.

I missed a blip opportunity too. It was my neighbour's birthday today and I bought her a pretty embroidered scarf. I hadn't thought to blip it before wrapping it and giving it to her which was a shame as it would have been a ready made subject.

This afternoon the rain stopped so I went for a walk around the village and blipped this old tree which is near my house. It has lots of holes in the trunk and is covered in ivy so is a great place for insects and birds.
