Hoby Cats

It's many many years since we sailed on a hoby cat, so these on the beach in front of the hotel are bringing back happy memories. Our son must have been about 13 (unbelievably that makes it 30 years ago!) and we were holidaying in the West Indies. Looking at these beauties lighting up the beach with their bright colours, I can't imagine how we did it, how we hung on. There appears to be nothing between the sailors and the sea but a mesh to sit on! I remember the guy taking us out used his feet as another set of hands, mainly to steer or hold ropes. Those were the days.
