Kirkwall Marina

A combination of work and weather has prevented any walks for some days now. I went down to the harbour this afternoon to see if any ocean birds had been driven in by the storms- there have been quite a few glaucous gulls and little auks about; but not in the marina. There were, however, at least 17 snipe sheltering in the breakwater stones. A heavy hailshower swept in, one of many over the last weeks.
