Seal

A common seal. I heard that a family of otters were frequenting the waters around the Brig o' Waithe so headed along. No luck. Just this seal who doesn't look too happy at my being there.
I gave it a couple of hours but the wind was icy and there wasn't much in the way of shelter. Standing or sitting about also means you aren't generating much heat.
Still, there were red-breasted mergansers, long-tailed ducks, heron, raven and a hen harrier.
