Resting guillemot

At Scapa pier, I noticed this guillemot (Uria aalge) in the lee of one of the tugs. I liked how one of his legs was on paddle-mode, keeping him (or her) in much the same position. At the beach were about 36 bar-tailed godwits feeding at the water's edge. A longish range shot of a few of them can be seen here.
