Australia 2013 Backblip #12

A quiet day recovering from the early mornings in the Red Centre. We walked out from Scott & Kelly's and caught a tram north towards the city. We got off near the top of Albert Park and walked into the park. The Melbourne Grand Prix was last weekend, and they were beginning to break down all the stuff set up for it including grandstands. The Grand Prix circuit is a public road, so we were able to walk down the start straight and past all the pits.

We then managed to work out how to get through the fences and leave the track and headed out to the coast. Lunch was a toasted chicken snitzel sandwich which we ate looking out to sea. We then went out along St. Kilda Pier before walking southwards down the coast until we got to a lookout point.

We then walked inland, and returned to our host's house via a short stop for some freshly made apple juice and a cake.
