Refills needed

All the birthday Tunnocks teacakes have been eaten (there's a teacake monster in the house who has promised to buy more!)

A dreich day, but I was in the office so that didn't affect me. I read my book at lunch and finished it, but the third book isn't publishing until the end of January. The team who worked on it are on the floor below my office – perhaps I can persuade them to part with an advance... I doubt it. Advances are like gold dust. I will wait patiently.

What to read next? There's a bus strike tomorrow and I'm commuting by bicycle. It's dangerous to read while cycling, I understand.
