Diamond Harbour Ferry

Another morning at work and bus/ferry home. The ride was a bit lumpy this afternoon due to a strong north easterly blowing up the harbour. No matter what the weather, I love the ferry crossing. The colours of the water, sky and hills are different every day, but always beautiful. As you approach the middle of the harbour and see the curve of the hills around, you can get the sense that your are inside what was once a volcanic caldera. Some days we get to see wildlife - shags, terns, hector's dolphins, and on very rare occasions, orca.

I feel very fortunate to have such an amazing start/end to my day.
