One daze at a time...

The mighty migratory birds

Brave little soldiers, battling against hunger, exhaustion and the fierce elements, pushing further south, every minute, every day, with every flap of their mighty wings, following the leader all the way down to Dakar, Senegal, to reach their winter quarters...

Except that these feathered silhouettes up there are your average city pigeons. No soaring in the evening sky for exotic destinations I'm afraid... These flying rats are flying down to Bray for the weekend, in the hope of picking some squashed chips on the promenade and pulling some chicks (pigeons chicks of course!)
They'll be back in a day or two.

In the meantime their cousins from Drogheda will decide to take a trip down south too... to Dublin.
Some of you might have gathered from previous blips that I am no big fan of these columbiformes... But above all I am weary of pigeons with a Louth accent!
