A view from Jeanneb

By Jeanneb53

Lines and light.

We all felt it was perceptibly lighter this morning (just) for our 7.30am walk around the St Ives Estate. No snow or rain but a bitingly cold wind.

This field takes us from the woods at top of golf course to the bottom and the distant view is across the valley made by Harden Beck, a tributary of the River Aire, to Bradford in the distance. To the right of the pylon you can just make out Lister's Mill chimney on the far horizon.

The lines of the pylons take the eye to the early morning light above Cottingley woods at 7.59 am.
