World map

Ever since I've been visiting the premises of the Institute, there has been a small - and somewhat tattered - world map on the wall of the stairs, which had lots of pins in it, marking all the different 'home cities' of our now 1000 Fellows. This week, to mark our Open Day my colleagues have got hold of an enormous world map in four parts, which has been temporarily mounted on one entire wall, and decorated with lots of silver stars for the home cities. Here's Cassie pointing at "her" star, which I think is on Lewis at the College in Stornoway, although she is originally from the US.

And yes, that is a silver star in Alaska. I assume we once had a fellow from there. Cool!

I wonder. Should we leave it up?
