Through My Eyes!

Red never got the memo

A quick session in the studio this evening experimenting with colours.
Red was trying out anti-gravity while blue and yellow were being normal.
total of 4 studio  lights used to take this shot and it's a single photo.
Firstly i set a 150 watt flash in a cardboard box and pointed this upwards. I then placesd a sheet of glass on top.
to the rear was a pure white reflector which i set a 400W light at 1/4 power pointing towards.
I then placed a 45W flash at either side level with the champagne glasses.
the blue and yellow are simple food colouring in water. The red is Jelly as i don't have an anti gravity device!
I lined the 3 glasses up, and then placed another sheet of glass on top. this is to capture reflections at the top of the image and at the bottom of the image which seemed to work brilliantly.
Set camera to F16, 1/250 at ISO 100 and used a radio trigger to fire the flash. was about 3feet from the glasses with slight zoom on the 24-105 lens.
The rear flash ensured a pure white background, the bottom flash illuminated the bases of the blue and yellow glasses and gave the bottom refelctions and the 2 side lights ensured i kept the shape of the glasses where there is no liquid! and gave the top reflections.
Overall setup about 15mins and only needed to have 1 photo taken for this result.
Happy boy tonight, another image to be printed onto canvas for Mrs R
