Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris

This is the grand courtyard at the School of Fine Arts in Paris.  Behind us is a small gallery (just a room) where the institution's collections of drawings (and sometimes prints) are regularly exhibited.  They are always top quality.

Today's exhibition was "The Golden Age of Dutch Landscapes" (17th century)--nearly four dozen works, including quite a number by the usual suspects from the period.  Among my two favorites were two Amsterdam views by Jacob van Ruisdael--unusual among his rare drawings. Rembrandt was not there, but  he did relatively few landscapes.
