Bronllys Castle

This imposing keep stands 80 feet tall, on top of the motte. It was built around 1230 by William de Clifford lll and replaced a wooden structure. 

It made a great place to take a break on our journey home today. 

My apologies for the delay in replying to your comments but I had very little internet in Wales. I hope to catch up tomorrow, in between the washing and ironing. I also forgot to take my iPad and so couldn't use pictures taken on my camera for blip, as I had no means of uploading them.
