"Don't look back. Keep running!"

Another fairly local day for us.

We had a good walk around the woods at Laide and later took the dogs to Mellon Udrigle for a really good run around.

On our way to the woods, three deer ran straight out of the undergrowth and into the road. Thank goodness for good brakes, as Mr E had to do an emergency stop. Two of the deer started grazing alongside the local butcher's sign, which somehow seemed inappropriate. I was reminded of the famous 1942 film Bambi. Bambi's Mother senses danger. She shouts to him to run to the thicket. Keep running and do not look back. Just then a gunshot is heard and his Mother is killed. It still makes me cry :-(
