Just a Shard at twilight...

Busy London day today.  This was taken after our visit to walk on the glass floor at Tower Bridge which was rather underwhelming on the whole.  There was a fairly dramatic rain storm while we were in there which did lovely things to the light looking across to Canary Wharf but in the end this shot of the Shard and its surroundings with the sunset in the background won!

We first went to a talk about the history of the VW Beetle at the British Museum - really interesting, Then we went round the Germany exhibition which was very crowded and it was very difficult to get close to any exhibits.  We had been told how fantastic it was and were a little disappointed not to be able to look at things properly.

After the Bridge, we finally managed a Blipmeet with Chantler63 in spite of various communication difficulties!  Good gossip, good food, good wander along the South Bank and a busy tube ride back to Euston finished the day.
