Meditating

This morning we went to Cambridge for various reasons but also to look at fridges, freezers, gas cookers and dishwashers. We had seen a tall fridge and freezer, before Christmas in John Lewis, who today told us they were not available; they may no longer stock them, but they are still available on the Internet. We have coffee, toasted sandwiches and cake in The Green Coffee Company Café, before visiting other shops and taking some pictures.

There was a very heavy frost this morning and while we were on the Park and Ride bus, some large snowflakes fell, then the sun came out and although it was quite cold, the sun was glorious.

Today’s picture was taken outside Kings College Chapel of this man meditating. It was taken from across the road so that he was not disturbed.

The saga of my broadband and telephone continues, the line is still blocked and today the person I spoke to at VirginMedia, firstly argued that it was blocked, then put me on hold and spoke to her manager, then she said that the MAC code was wrong and then that the only people who could remove the block, (which she had earlier said was not there) work Monday to Friday only; ring again on Monday. Emails to various other VirginMedia personnel are being sent, as well as a formal complaint to OfCom, although I doubt they will have any effect whatsoever.

The GOG has a Life Membership to give away, which he advertised on his entry yesterday. So far, no one appears to want this so if any of my current subscribers would like it, please let me know. Of course, if someone claims it on his journal before anyone does on mine, then it will go to one of his subscribers.
