Happy Birthday Martin

We actually got the children up and out for Martin's 47th birthday with the promise of a steak lunch, and it didn't disappoint.  At £8.95 for a Classic steak, chips, salad and a choice of sauce everyone was very pleased.  Strictly speaking we didn't actually all need to stuff a starter down as well - which might explain why we are all feeling rather full...

As a direct result, the chocolate cake (similar to last year's) is still under construction and we are thinking of leaving it until James gets back from work (11.00pm) to do candles and singing.  I don't think anyone will be hungry before then.

In an odd coincidence my niece Alice and my sister-in-law Helen, also have birthdays today.  Happy birthday to them too.
