Ornamental Artichoke

Wandering the Seymour Square  herbaceous border whilst waiting for the 100 Days For 100 Years Ceremony I was amazed by the bee activity on the artichokes - there must be plenty of nectar in there ! I see 3 bees and a bumble bee just on this side of the flower..a good thing to plant near the vege garden I would say, and very attractive as well
