Flower Children Need Not Apply

Though I adorned my notebooks with pencil sketches of flowers and flower power symbols, and though I wore my share of bell bottoms, hip-huggers, and tie-dyed apparel, I really can't claim to have ever even come close to being a 'hippie' in any sense of the word. I was a fairly middle-of-the-road, studious youth with my days spent in my darkroom, at my piano, or hitting the books. My participation in anti-war marches and demonstrations came a little later when I was in my twenties and lasted until I was exhausted with two children and a full-time job. But you know what? It was still one groovy trip!
