winter color...

in an unlikely place - as i rushed around - doing last minute errands - around town before - i leave to visit - my mama tomorrow - the sun was shining down - and i saw this - shocking bit of color - from the corner - of my eye - i thought it couldn't be - a flower since - we're in the midst - of winter yet -  as i went - to investigate, there - in the melting snow - was a forgotten flower - dried now - but still in all - its glory - a bright yellow/orange - for all to enjoy - during these sometimes - dreary days which - can surround us - it was a joyous moment - in a hectic time - one which caused me to pause - take a breath - be thankful -  grateful it had made for...
