Emmylou at the House of Usher

Monday was what one might call a varied day.

Spent all morning and the early afternoon catching up with 'paperwork' (mainly on the computer) - in fact, a typical Monday for me. Then, after lunch, took the bus over to Camelon to walk back along the canal. It was a cold day and most of the stretch of the canal between Camelon and Bonnybridge was frozen. Any photos I took turned out in various shades of grey (much fewer than 50 though!)

An early evening meal and a train through to Edinburgh to see the wonderful First Aid Kit in concert at the Usher Hall. I'm not one of these people who spend their time recording events on their mobile phones and so miss the enjoyment and experience of the actual event, but did take two or three of the group playing their encore - here singing the final song Emmylou, a reference to the American country singer Emmylou Harris.

A varied day, but finishing on a high. I'll settle for that.
