Stopping By For Breakfast
Another early start to Cossington Meadows this morning, where I was frustrated by not being able to get to the edge of the pond. A locked gate bearing the notice "Private."
I was in a layby close to the pond where Betty sets up her breakfast stall. These chaps stop by every morning for their sausage baps. Two cygnets pushed through the hedge and approached them hoping for crumbs. No luck. The cygnets didn't look at all impressed with the poser.
No Basil this morning. He hid when I fetched his harness and coat, so I left him to jump back on the bed. He's going out now though!
