Quod oculus meus videt

Sunrise, Oaken Terrace

I stood there for 20 minutes, convinced that the gap on the horizon would allow the rising sun to under-light the clouds overhead.  I was sadly dissappointed.

I could see high cirrus formations in the gaps between the low cloud,  alive with pinks and blues.  In the end this was the height of colour from the dawn.  Still interesting but I couldn't help in feeling a sense of anti-climax.
