Remembering!

Some days are more difficult than others and today marks 3 years since dad (or Granda or Leslie or big Griff!) died. He was a great man and is deeply missed in many ways by many people.

Some days it feels like just yesterday since we raced across to Ireland to see him for the last time ... in other ways it feels like a lifetime ago.

Tonight we went out for Chinese ... something we did regularly as a family for celebrations ... or a stop off on the way home from swimming ... or just when we fancied it really!!

There's also a family story that involved a Chinese takeaway being brought home in dad's new Landrover Discovery ... which required a little internal cleaning after the trip ... seems the "perfect gap" for carrying the bag of Chinese food wasn't so perfect after all!! WHOOPS! It wisnae me ... honest!!

So tonight, I didn't raise a glass of bacardi ... but instead raised a little cup of chinese tea ... was nicer than I remembered it to be from all those years ago!

We discovered a new eatery in the process ... and introduced the girls to a new eating out food experience ... was very nice!
