Once again, our Wednesday cycle run was cancelled due to the cold icy weather.
Once again some of us decided to go out anyway, the weather was wonderful, we stayed warm and couldn't find any ice. There wasn't even any wind. All in all, the nine of us that went out had a wonderful day and, with only the diehards out, we made brisk progress; it wasn't that our speed was high - more that we didn't keep stopping for trivial reasons.

The run was rearranged so that, instead of scaling the heights of Pathhead, we returned to East Lothian and sampled the delights of the garden emporium at Merry Hatton, an establishment that seems to rely on its cafe for survival. The Blip was taken on the way back to Musselburgh and includes the twin chimneys of Cockenzie power station which is in the process of being converted to gas.
