Blue Friday

It was a slightly misty morning with a hard frost. This is a view across the fields from Southam towards Ladbroke Church.

In another ten years this view will be gone forever.

The nearest row of hedges will be torn up, to be replaced by a new embankment carrying HS2 trains on their 200 mph way to Birmingham. So I wanted to give this image a sombre, dark, slightly blue tone to convey the cold and the gloomy sense of loss of our landscape.
