Disappointed today that I can't be at old school friend's 60th birthday party in Cardiff. We used to travel the byroads of Cheshire in his Ford Popular. 

We were the first eighteen year olds to get the vote. The local conservative candidate refused to come and talk to us, saying that "schools aren't the place for politics". That influenced my political direction.
