A Golden Pathway

Passing by our Quaker Burial Ground this morning on the way to Meeting, I was pleased to see that the golden aggregate has now been laid down on the central pathway. It all seems to be taking shape very well, and I'm already looking to the planting beginning in the spring.
The golden pathway reminded me of the Golden Rule, which for me is at the heart of all true religion: 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. Or put slightly differently, which in some ways I prefer: 'Do not do anything to another person which you would not wish them to do to you.'
