Big Garden Birdwatch

Martin and I did our bit for the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch today. Mr Bullfinch turned up for the count, bringing along his lovely lady wife ( she was too high up to get in the photo).
Actually we take part in a garden birdwatch every day, as we seem to be always looking out one window or another to see who is in the garden, feasting on our offerings of nyger seed, nuts, sunflower hearts, fat balls and other occasional treats. One of our favourite regular visitors failed to show his face today - Mr Robin. We got our wee flock of redpolls and goldfinches, as well as chaffinches, blue tits, wood pigeons, blackbirds, a great tit and a coal tit.
Other non - attendees were our usual collared doves, magpies, starlings and dunnocks.  Hopefully they will return tomorrow and maybe spring will bring the greenfinches and siskins back.
And if it had been the Big  Grey Squirrel Watch, we would have got three!!
