The Big Garden Bird Watch?

Or in my case the ever so little garden bird watch.  Where have all the birds gone?  In previous years I would be getting 14 or 15 species a day and they would empty a feeder full of seed in less than a day.  This year for the hour I managed 5 species.  I can fill a feeder and it lasts days.

I don't know if it is the mild winter, a surfeit of local feeders or the periodic fly past by the local Sparrow Hawk which is keeping them away.  Possibly a combination of all the above.  Although I haven't seen many new feeding stations locally and the Sparrow Hawk has been visiting for years.

Anyway a through the window shot of one of the few birds which turned up is today's choice.
