A welcome guest

I found this tiny baby gecko on the bedside cabinet. It was no more than 20mm from nose to tail - the big white blobs in the upper left are the tips of cotton buds in a pot.

When this was shot mosquitoes were a daily nuisance, so anything that would reduce their numbers was welcome to stay in the cottage. This little one stuck around for some months and grew at a prodigious rate.
