Pond

The old pond at the bottom of the Western's field contains the following:
A colony of frogs
Countless insects
A small number of fish
A statue of Athena which had been broken by young Samuel Western who had hidden the evidence of his crime in the forgiving, and surprisingly deep, pond
"Old Bill" - the famous, giant pike who has lived in the pond since time immemorial. The legend of Old Bill has been passed down the ages by each successive generation of Western children. And his stature and ferocity have both grown over the years. Some dissenters doubt whether the pike exists at all.
Countless marbles
A platoon of toy soldiers
The scattered bones of Esme Tilbrook, a governess who was always believed to have run away to Salisbury.
