Remember when phones had wires?

Nothing rings your bell like an old telephone, and this one is the nasty olive two-tone 706 model from the 1960s. I've been forced to imbibe a quantity of reasonably good ale, in recognition of a moment on the solar cycle, and perhaps today's picture is not as clear as previous entries - from here everything looks blurry. I guess that's what happens when you get to (46 and a little bit) *
