I have been looking at Richard McGuire's book Here. It is a series of drawings of the corner of one room in different years, and of the land it occupies far into the past and the future. Inset into many of the drawings are glimpses of events and people from other times. Taken together they tell many stories, all within the same space.

It's a fascinating idea, especially as this room was built just a couple of years before his, and I have often wondered about the lives lived here before. I do know just a little about them.

The image is processed with Topaz Simplify. I also had to remove a lot of stuff first to get a room that was even nearly as tidy as McGuire's!
