Laura's birthday

I've felt under the weather for the last few days. A vague bug a brewing. But I woke today feeling better, less achey.
I watched the beautiful and crazy flurries of snow from my cosy bed and all was quiet. A perfect start to a day.
Later, I submitted an essay draft, had a luxurious afternoon bath complete with skin buffing, dolled myself up and walked into town for Laura's birthday tea. A wee treat indeed. How lovely my almost midwives are. Walk home in the rain with the pavements of the Curry Mile glittering with reflection and neon.
And now to bed. Happy Thursday one and all.
