Mini Merv and the ant

There are dozens of Merv Mantises around the garden at the moment.  I feel a little bad disturbing their habitat but the weeds and over-growth have to go!  The ant survived - I think possibly because it was a bit too big for Mini Merv to deal to!

I think I was attacked by a small swarm of something as I cut the grape vine back - I've certainly got a good few bites over my arms and legs :(

Heading for another ridiculously warm and uncomfortable night tonight.  This surelyhas to be the warmest summer spell we've had in many years.
