Ground Control to Major Smarme

BACKBLIP

This is my first backblip - it is now 12:30pm as I write this, having just got back in  from tonight's gig, so I've missed the cut-off by half an hour, but there you go, sometimes these things just can't be helped.    :-)

Tonight was Strangefruit's gig (that is the blues band in which I play) at the Bath Cricket Club, and we had lots of fun - despite a slightly dodgy P.A.  The audience seemed to have fun too, judging from the numbers dancing, which is always a good sign.

One of the supporting acts tonight was the chap in the photo, Bill Smarme, a musical comic known as "The Bard of Twerton".  His tag line is "international comedy entertainer,  builder, and tikka massala connoiseur (chicken or lamb don't matter)".   He had the audience in stitches with his take on David Bowie's "Space Oddity".  As you can see he is a colourful entertainer....   and he doesn't take himself at all seriously.

I did consider putting this up as a mono shot, as it actually makes his expression stand out more, but I couldn't deny you the fully leaded version of Bill, in all his peacock like glory.
