Finally - some proper snow.

Last night saw the first serious fall of snow across Buckinghamshire. There were a couple of further snow storms during the morning making our work party a thoroughly cold, damp and skiddy affair. Undaunted, a small group of hardened conservationists tackled hedge-laying and scrub clearence without a murmur - actually, I'm not sure any of us could speak!

When I packed up at around 3pm, a steady thaw meant there was no snow to be seen across the Vale of Aylesbury, but this is how it was still looking at the nature reserve - not enough to bother the sheep, but just enough to make it that bit more magical.
