The Last Biscuit

I went to a joint meeting of the Contemporary Group and the East Midlands Group of the Royal Photographic Society at Keyworth Parish Hall this afternoon.

The discussion was on how to get your work published. The artist photographer was grinding away at getting Arts Council funding, but several other members there suggested corporate sources or crowd funding.

And there are several ways of getting online exposure such as through ISSUU.

One photographer and his wife run an online community newspaper encouraging neighbours to go out and take photos to illustrate topics. Sending a community reporter to council meetings can expose all sorts of corruption. Council members have become more aware and are shaping up as a result.

That's what's meant by Contemporary, or at least, that's what the speaker thought.

This was the last biscuit which had been left on the table at the side. I couldn't eat it anyway, as it wasn't gluten free.
