Black cap

Woke up to a light dusting of snow everywhere and a few more snow flurries during the morning. Husband set off early to go and pick up son  number two ready for the Superbowl tomorrow. I had to be up and about for 7.30 for a visit from a furniture repair man (who of course did not turn up until 9.45!). I watched the squirrel raid the bird feeders and then a procession of bluetits, robins, blackbirds, starlings and others visit the garden to pick up some food. This pretty black cap stayed on the suet feeder very close to the kitchen window for a while. The photo isn't bad even though it was through a grubby window. This may be the same bird that turned up for my RSPB garden birdwatch last weekend. 

Very cold afternoon. I finished off another book tucked up under some cushions and with my microwavable furry boots on.
