Amaryllis

For a £6.99 impulse purchase from M&S, I'm very pleased with this picotee amaryllis. Last Monday it looked like this, but through the week the first set of buds swelled, and yesterday this one started to open. In the 90 minutes since I took this shot the closed bud on the right has also sprung its first petal - but for the inconvenience of having a tripod set up half way up the stairs, I could do a time-lapse project on it!
