Construction

The powers that be have decided to change the destination of HS2 from Birmingham to our local village.  The top photo shows the terminating station, Shottery Village International, under construction.  The local pasture, nearby allotments and Shottery Fields will be converted into car parks.
 
To make room for the line and station they had to demolish Anne Hathaway’s cottage (lower photo), the argument being there are plenty of Shakespeare properties around Stratford; they won’t miss just one.
