Meat haters look away

We signed up for a really good Menu Pages voucher deal. €60 for two 3-course meals, a bottle of wine and two after-meal cocktails. Really great value, especially when it's for The Rustic Stone.
We had three breads with spreads and Parma ham, tempura salmon, cook-on-a-stone rump steak, penne pesto, Catalan cassanade, chocolate soup, a bottle of Côte de Rhone and a couple of adventurous cocktails. Everything was delicious, put together with panache and a touch of quirkiness. Add to that pleasant surroundings and excellent service and you're talking about a voucher deal which achieved its aim of enticing us to return.
We chatted with the barman while enjoying our cocktails and he told us about the planned opening in March of a tapas additional on the floor above. He said this would spread the Rustic Stone over five floors, though our calculations made it four rather than five. The cocktail bar itself is new, on its own floor above the restaurant and accessible separately. We'd go back there as well.
A great night out. We were even sensible and got public transport home before 11:00 pm.
