Patterns And Textures

I began the day tired, having been up until the early hours of the morning completing our entry to the local C-Art Open Studio event in September. I couldn't have a lie in as I had an appointment with the bank to close mum's account.

A glutton for punishment after a bacon and brie buttie, I suggested a walk over the fields to Aira Beck. I had hoped for more snow to have remained but these last two sunny days had melted most of it off the rocks I quite liked the way little patches remained and made a contrast to the rocks and water.

The snow on the fields had turned to ice so I was glad I'd remembered I had a very good unused pair of crampons. They were great for my confidence in these conditions.
