Mungrisdale Common

Although it was overcast and damp The Friend and I set off with The Dog towards Mosedale. We took some shots of cascading water but it began to rain. Just at the moment the weather is too windy for the use of brollies so we packed our gear back into the car. Having left the dormobile heater running it was cosy when got back in and we moved to this vantage point to enjoy the view while we brewed tea.

The car fogged up with the kettle boiling but we kept looking out for changes in the sky and leapt out whenever we saw crepuscular rays.

We were ready for bacon and egg butties back at the house!
