Texann Times

It was a Slaughter

(Back Blip)

Our last full day in The Cotswolds.  Took a quick wander into and around the centre of Bourton in the morning, and then Longshadow and Aliscotia took us to The Slaughters (both Upper and Lower).  The name isn’t as macabre as it first sounds; in Old English, it means ‘muddy place’ – not that either seemed particularly muddy.  It was really cold again, but Longshadow was determined to try out his GoPro waterproof casing despite that meaning having to get his hands wet.  Such dedication to his craft!  The ducks decided to show off by doing a fly by especially for him.

In the evening, while it snowed gently, we all had a wonderful farewell meal in Great Rissington, as a celebration of our time together.
